Strawberry Dream

1/4 avocado
1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries
1 cup spinach
1 Tbsp chia or hemp seeds
1 Tbsp agave or maple syrup
1/2 cup almond milk
1/2 cup water

Place all ingredients into blender and puree until smooth. Also excellent with raspberries.

Berry Yummy Calcium

1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 head baby bok choy
1 inch piece ginger root
1/3 bunch parsley
1/2 lemon, peeled
1 Tbsp sesame seeds
1 cup coconut milk or water

Place all ingredients into blender and puree until smooth. Bok choy and sesame seeds are great sources of calcium. Bok choy also contains indole-3-carbinols which have cancer fighting and hormone balancing properties.

Energize Me

1 ripe pear
1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
1 cup spinach
1 inch piece ginger root
1 Tbsp chia or hemp seeds
1 cup water

Place all ingredients into blender and puree until smooth. This fibre rich smoothie contains easy to digest carbs which release their energy overtime, keeping energy levels stable.

Velvety Pumpkin Pie

1/2 cup purees pumpkin
2 Tbsp rolled oats
1/2 tsp blackstrap molasses
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
4-5 ice cubes
1 cup almond milk

Place all ingredients into blender and puree until smooth. Pumpkin provides a good dose of vitamins A and C, and loads of fibre. Butternut squash works for this recipe as well.

Cheerful Chocolate

1/4 avocado
1 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Tbsp hemp seeds
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
pinch sea salt
2-3 pitted Medjool dates
3-4 ice cubes
1 cup almond milk
